Kaminey’s Dhan Te Nan- Leftovers Served On A Fresh Platter
Vishal Bhardwaj’s hit number Dhan Te Nan from his latest flick Kaminey is actually a rehash of a ten year old song he had composed and shot for his TV serial Gubbare with Sharman Joshi doing the honors in the groove department.
Sad how it went unnoticed all those years back. While Shahid’s been collecting accolades left, right and centre for his dancing prowess in the hit song, poor Sharman’s too shellshocked to react. The song’s done wonders for Shahid’s career while Sharman, the original protagonist has been a struggling actor for years and has only now started to find his feet in the industry.
Strange are the ways of showbiz- it breaks some, it makes some…
A note for Vishal- Hats off dude, for brazenly serving leftovers to your humble followers..cause you know they’ll lap it up anyway!
Squeeze a bit more!
